Neue Philharmonie Hamburg: Beethoven's 9th Symphony

The Neue Philharmonie Hamburg (NPH) was founded in 2003 and is made up of freelance professional musicians from all over the world.

It is one of the professional orchestras of the city of Hamburg.

Its activities are based on concerts in the Laeiszhalle Hamburg and large churches in northern Germany. The NPH also enjoys taking on demanding choral accompaniment tasks and is often available for concerts for other concert and music theatre organizers, companies, associations and organizations.

The NPH realizes its diverse tasks with a core of experienced and well-rehearsed musicians, which makes it possible to perform with ensembles ranging from chamber orchestras to large symphony orchestras.

The versatility of its repertoire means that the NPH is active throughout northern Germany. Renowned guest conductors have been regularly invited since the 2003/2004 season. These have included Roberto Seidel, Ernst Bartel, Mike Steurenthaler, Michail Bank, Ulrich Windfuhr and others. Regular performances round off the intensive musical work.
