The British Shorts film festival celebrates the funniest, strangest and most exciting short films from Great Britain and Ireland.

From drama and comedy to documentaries, everything finds its place at the British Shorts film festival every year. Animations, horror, science fiction and music videos are also offered to the audience. A jury prize and an audience prize are awarded at the end of the festival. The 18th edition of the short film festival will take place in 2025.

British Shorts 2025: Program

This year's program includes more than 150 short film screenings, live music, a film workshop, a 48-hour film challenge, talks, an exhibition and much more. A special highlight of this festival is "The Hypnotic Explorations of Peter Strickland" followed by a Q+A with the director on January 28. More detailed information on the program will follow closer to the event.
